Ben Brown has a Bachelors of Music Education from Morehead State University, and a Masters in Music Education from the University of Kentucky. He taught in public schools for fifteen years and has taught privately for four years. He’s played in many bands over the last 32 years including White Johnny and the Spine Poodles (Prog-punk), East 60 (Alt-country), Whisper Garden (Darkly Literary Blues) and Fuego Latino (Latin explosion) and the usual variety dance bands (he's played lots of wedding receptions and bar mitzvahs). Currently he performs with Caribbean Blues (Island), and Trouble (Western Swing), as well as solo. He writes and records songs, and teaches guitar, bass and voice at the Doo Wop Shop and online via Skype.
